In this stage, the spine process is beginning to combine all the parts of animation together. We get to see how everything is flowing from the blocking stage. I have fine tuned the main joints. I like to start from the ground up so I begin with the feet and knees...then move to the hips....work my way up to the torso and chest...then I move to the positioning of the hands and basic finger manipulation...followed by the shoulders and clavicles and finally the head.
I still have some more tuning to get into with the smoothness of the motions.
It is important to remember to animate in the 3d view and not just to animate on one camera. That way you are able to properly see weight shift and spacing and get the character to do believable actions. Notice that I actually changed some of my poses and movements especially when she does the kick back when she is unstable. I found it to be not very believable and I decided to change it after asking my little sister what she thought and her describing it as "weird" looking. I agreed with her, so I made it more subtle and removed the giant kick she did for a more "saving" herself from falling pose. I think it flows much nicer.
Next step more fine tuning and then moving into the dialogue and facial expressions. And then lastly polishing it up for final.
I also plan to ad more characters into scene but I want her to be solid first.
Happy Animating!
